WANTED BY TAMILNET: A Graphic Designer with good Photoshop skills and knowledge of Sinhala Language!

Cruelty of disinformation – Tamilnet exposed
Thanks to defencenet blog for first breaking the news!

It's not a secret among us who surf the net so often looking for the truth, that TAMILNET is a web site that carries completely bogus reports, and create absolute lies in order to present a different story about the LTTE and the conditions of the trapped civilians, to the world. They often repeat old photos, news items to boost the morale of the international Tamil diaspora as well as to get the sympathy of the world. Some of us exposed this not so long ago. It seems they are up to their tricks again, this time however they are caught red handed by a vigilant Sri Lankan blogger defencenet (not the GOSL site).

According to Tamilnet, these letters were issued by Regional Directors of Health Services (RDHS) for Ki'linochchi and Mullaiththeevu districts. However, simple translation errors present on the letterheads say otherwise. Click here to read the original story at defencenet blog.

Since our blog posts are for the Sri Lankans as well as the international community, we have taken it one step further and explained in detail the difference of the letters and what it should have been. Our deep concern is how ever is for the Graphic Designer in charge of this project. Since the LTTE are known to take care of their own people specially when they make mistakes, we wonder if he is still "alive", let alone have a job!

Does the 3 letterheads look the same to you? They are supposed to be from the same office, yet the fonts, the position and sizes of the two logos are different along with the content.

  2. I doubt it... as they seem to be making blunder after the other as of late.. Then again you can only hide the truth for so long...

  3. Also, two blunders on the main title on all three letterheads!

Pradesheeya is spelt in such a weird way that it CANNOT BE PROPERLY PRONOUNCED!

Then instead of "SOUKHYA" they have printed "SOUBYA"

If they get it right next time, then clearly these are FORGERIES! Otherwise, ALL ARE FORGERIES!

    CHECKMATE!!
