"If you build it, they will come"

That was the famous quote from W.P Kinsella in his novel, "Field of Dreams", that was later popularized by Kevin Costner in the film, with the same name. In the current situation in Sri Lankan with regards to the LTTE terrorists, we believe the saying could be updated to "If you denounce it, we will welcome you". This is not just lip service, but a reality today, as highlighted by the story below about Karuna, a former hardcore LTTE commander, who entered the mainstream federal politics, and became a Minister in the GOSL last week. Twenty two violent years in the LTTE. Followed by a bitter parting with rebel chief V Prabhakaran. Subsequently, floating a Tamil political party. Last week, rather ironically, appointed as minister of National Integration and Rebuilding in the Sinhala-majority ruling coalition -- Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan, popularly known as Colonel Karuna, has indeed had a chequered career. In between, he spent also eight months in a British jail for allegedly traveling on forged documents.
