LTTE Sympathizers show their stripes in India

May be the Canadian authorities such as the City of Toronto and the Police, should pay a bit more attention to their Indian counterparts. It seems the Indians have found out how dangerous these so called Tamil Tiger sympathizers can be when they do not get their way, as the state of Kerala went on a high alert yesterday after a call of threatening attacks. Kerala borders Tamil Nadu, the state with the most number of Tamils out side of Sri Lanka who are sympathetic to LTTE, just like Tamils in Toronto, with the next largest population. A question could be then asked if these sympathizers can threaten their own people in India, how safe can Toronto be? Does the City Authorities know what the repercussion would be, by entertaining the recent protests that openly supported the LTTE terrorists? May be media outlets like Toronto Star could dwell into the safety of the Canadians for a change, instead of writing bogus editorials, just to please 250,000 plus Tamil readership. - Sinhaya

Three Indian airports on alert after threat

Sat Mar 21, 4:43 am ET THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, India (AFP) –
India tightened security at three major airports in the southern state of Kerala after a call threatening attacks by Tamil Tiger sympathizers, police said Saturday. Extra security measures were in place at the international airports of Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode following the threat, the director general of police told AFP.

"We are keeping high alert on the airports and surrounding areas since yesterday," Jacob Punnoose said. The Central Intelligence Bureau, India's main spy agency, received an anonymous call Thursday saying that sympathisers of Sri Lankan separatist group the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam were planning bomb attacks at one of the facilities.
