Sri Lanka: Your question for the government

An open letter to John Cannis, from Asoka Weerasinghe

Dear John:

Watching Question Period yesterday on CPAC, I heard you loud and clearly, so did the Conservatives when you wanted to know what the government is going to do about the humanitarian catastrophe that is going on in Sri Lanka’s north.

That question did not come from your heart but from the nudging of your Tamil constituents of Little Jaffna (Scarborough Centre), whom you represent. There was something eerie about that question, there was something vile and oppressive about that question, there was something infuriating about that question.
