Language is not recognized they say... eh?
Not according to the Sinhalese and the Tamils living in harmony in the southern areas of Sri Lanka. The majority Sinhalese including some buddhist monks are learning the Tamil language. This may not happen in Toronto, but it does happen in Sri Lanka. -Sinhaya

What a great site. I love the cartoons. 100% Truth. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteWe need many more of this kind of initiative. I wish I had the chance and was encouraged to learn Tamil when I was a student. It seems so obvious that both communities need to learn each others' language if they truly want to understand and respect each other.
ReplyDeleteVery good point you make... I guess even at this stage it's great that SL authorities are doing it.. better late than never, I guess. We need more of these kinds of result oriented positive "action" rather than just political talk, if we are to find a long lasting solution.
