Sri Lankan Tamil here staged night-long protests in the heart of the city Monday and wrote a strongly worded letter to Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
'Tamil Canadians are fearful that in the next 24 to 48 hours a civilian bloodbath will ensue if the government of Sri Lanka does not reciprocate the LTTE's offer to a ceasefire,' the Canadian Tamil Congress (CTC) said in the letter.

The LTTE are drug smugglers and these people are waving flags in their support: they are human traffickers and they are chanting slogans, they are murderers and they want you to step up and say you want the Tamils Tigers saved? Are you crazy? We will not even give a hoot for the UN. This is the day and the hour that they will no longer feel proud. We will crush any revolt and as long as the Rajapakses are in control the LTTE will never lift its head ever again.
