Sri Lanka's Tamil Tiger rebels have admitted for the first time that their leader Velupillai Prabhakaran is dead. A statement issued by the Tigers said their "incomparable leader" had "attained martyrdom" and declared a week of mourning.
We have already announced that we have given up violence and agreed to enter a democratic process to achieve the rights for the Tamil (self) determination of our people

A spokesman for the group also told the BBC that it would now use non-violent methods to fight for Tamils' rights. Sri Lanka's army last week released pictures it said showed Prabhakaran's body after its final offensive.

Agree 100% about the bias of the BBC which has been so obvious for so long. How the hell can they call themselves an organisation of repute when they seem totally incapable of giving a balanced view of the situation in Sri Lanka and simply resort to sensationalism and openly support a terrorist organisation banned as such in their own country?
ReplyDeleteThat's the hypocrisy of this all... These News Media are more mad at GOSL for not listening to them, or letting them in. To me there's no more honour in journalism. Almost all of them play for their masses, ratings, money etc. "Bad news" is what they thrive on and good news like terrorism defeated, doesn't attract the attention they crave. Sadly some of these are no better than trashy tabloids on supermarket isle.

Can somebody ask these journalists who write about whats right n wrong against my country what they were doing for the last 30 yrs? I bet most of them were doing dirty things in their spare times in nite clubs n many dirty n dark places.
